3. Processing when visiting the website

When the website is accessed, the browser automatically transmits information to the server (server log files): IP address, date and time of access, file requested, volume of data transferred, referrer URL as well as browser and operating system. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operational security and content delivery). Log data is stored briefly to ensure IT security and then deleted.

4. Hosting and content delivery

This website is operated by a service provider within the European Union that processes data on our behalf. For secure and fast delivery, content may be served via a content delivery network; the provider processes technically required access data (e.g. IP address, requested resource). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have data processing agreements with these providers pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

5. Contact and enquiry form

If you contact us via the contact or enquiry form or by email, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email, phone, company, details of your request) solely to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or (f) GDPR. The data is deleted once it is no longer required for the purpose, subject to statutory retention periods.

6. User account and registration

If you create an account in the BBE-Plattform (e.g. as a customer or partner), we process the data required for registration and contract performance (e.g. name, company, contact details, credentials). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The data is stored for the duration of the account and thereafter within statutory retention periods.

7. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address and any further voluntary details to send you information. Sign-up uses the double opt-in procedure. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future via the unsubscribe link in every email or by contacting us.

8. Job applications

If you send us an application, we process the data provided to conduct the application process. The legal basis is § 26 BDSG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. If no employment relationship is established, the documents are deleted after the process, at the latest six months after completion, unless you have consented to longer storage.

9. Cookies and comparable technologies

For its mere operation this website does not set any consent-requiring cookies. Should functional, statistics or marketing cookies be used in future, this will only happen based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG), which you may withdraw at any time. See the cookie policy for details.

10. Analytics, reach measurement and marketing services

Where we integrate analytics, maps, video or marketing services in future (e.g. for reach measurement, map display or advertising performance), this is done exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). Until you consent, such services are not loaded and no related data is transmitted to third parties. The services and recipients active in each case are disclosed transparently in the consent banner.

11. Social media presence

We may maintain profiles on social networks to communicate with prospects. When you visit these profiles, the respective platform operators process your data under their own responsibility and privacy terms. We process content you submit via the profiles to communicate with you on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

12. Recipients / processors

Data is only passed on where necessary to initiate or perform a contract (e.g. to cooperating service providers and partners) or where there is a legal obligation. With service providers that process data on our behalf (hosting, CDN, possibly CRM, newsletter delivery, applicant management) we have data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

13. Transfers to third countries

Personal data is only transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA where necessary and where appropriate safeguards exist — in particular EU Standard Contractual Clauses, certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or your explicit consent. You may obtain a copy of the safeguards via the contact address above.

14. Retention

We process and store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods. Thereafter the data is deleted or anonymised. Data of unused accounts is deleted or anonymised after an appropriate period of inactivity.

15. Automated decision-making

No solely automated decision-making, including profiling, producing legal effects concerning you takes place.

16. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR); the competent authority at our registered seat is: [to be completed].

17. Objection and withdrawal

Where we process your data to safeguard legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation; you may object to processing for direct marketing at any time without giving reasons. You can control cookies and consent-requiring services via the consent banner and your browser settings.

18. Changes to this policy

We adapt this privacy policy when changes to our processing or the legal situation require it.
